How is “Gabriel’s Revelation” significant to Christianity?
Recently there was an ancient tablet discovered that dates to the late first century B.C. It is a supposed message given by Gabriel to what is believed to be the followers of a Jewish rebel named Simon. Possibly the same Simon that Josephus mentions in his Antiquities. Some have claimed it to disprove the uniqueness of Christianity and show it was common to make this assumption on people at that time[1]. Does it really mean that? And if not, what significance does it have on Christianity as a whole? Continue Reading…
What is the day of Pentecost?
Most Christians know that the Holy Spirit descended on the disciples on this day and they began speaking other languages. The denomination of Pentecostal is widely known for its charismatic services. However, if you ask most people they do not know what the day of Pentecost actually is about. So for all those who wish to know, I’ll lay it out as best I can. Continue Reading…
Has Religion caused most of the wars?
Is this not the thing that religious opponents throw at Christians? The Crusades being the single most used war to prove the evil that comes from Christianity. John Lennon wrote a song about it and is probably the biggest supporter of this ideal. But what is the reality? Continue Reading…
How do we know the Bible is accurate?
I received this question for the site and I wanted to address it differently than I already have. One honestly does not have to do too much research to find the answer. Though I have done more than my fair share in this area, I’ll keep this discussion as brief and as too the point as possible. So how can we know the Bible is accurate? Continue Reading…
Did Jesus study with Buddhist Preists?
I’ve heard this claim before and many still believe it. It mainly shows how much people are willing to believe simply because they want to think they have the “real” story. Continue Reading…
Do Dinosaurs contradict Christianity?
The simple answer is “no”. In fact, there may be several mentions of them in the bible, but there is one for certain. In Job 40:15-24, God describes what can only be a dinosaur. Nothing else could fit the description it gives. Verse 17 is the clencher, “His tail sways like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are close-knit.” The only possible mammals that might fit into this description would be an elephant or a hippo. The problem is that both of them have small lanky tails and could in no way be described as swaying like a cedar. However, there are several dinosaurs that could fit this description quite easily. Continue Reading…
Is there any evidence that Jesus existed outside of the Bible?
The short answer is “yes, plenty.”
If anyone has a problem with any references that are more than 100 years after the fact, keep in mind the Ceasar’s biography was written over 250 years after his death. The following is a collaboration of several non-Christian historical references of Jesus Christ. Continue Reading…
Did the flood really happen?
Through this article I plan to prove that there was a global flood without using any biblical text. Why is this an important topic? Many people, including many Christians believe that the flood mentioned in Genesis is either a myth or it was a very localized flood. I think this is because it is just a massive supernatural event that people can’t put in a science test tube. When unexplained things happen, society either rationalizes it in the only way they know how or forgets it and chalks it up to a fairy tale. Continue Reading…
