Did God create evil?

This is a tough question for anyone to answer.  The Bible is pretty silent as to how or if evil was created.  Many anti-theists use this to try and say how bad God is.  So what does the Bible say on this topic? Continue Reading…

Was Jesus perfect?

Why do Christians think Jesus was perfect? Is that even possible? Does the bible really teach that? Is it necessary to believe he was in order to be a Christian? It’s a question that many don’t think about and those that do could lead themselves to dangerous conclusions. So what do Christians believe about Jesus perfection. Continue Reading…

If Jesus was born of a imperfect human, Mary, why is he considered perfect?

This question was brought to my attention a few days ago and I’ve spent a few days praying, studying and meditating on it. It is a question that is not one I’ve had before and something we all should think about. If he was human just like us, how can he be perfect? Can it be proven? I’ve had an interesting time trying to answer those. Continue Reading…

Why trust God?

Why should we trust God? What has He ever done to deserve it? It is a valid question and definitely something we should all think about. Is there a reason to trust the invisible God? I hope to address that in as straight forward of a way as possible. Continue Reading…

Is God cruel/unfair in the Old Testament?

I’ve heard several times and there are those that bring it up constantly as if it has no answer to it, that God is very cruel in the Old Testament. They bring up there several times when God orders the Israelites to destroy entire towns killing all of its women and children as well. Also the story of Elisha being made fun of by “youths” and God had them mauled by bears. They mention the laws that can get you stoned and killed. So was God really just crueler in the Old Testament? Continue Reading…

If God is real, why doesn’t He make it obvious?

This is a question I’m sure all of us, both Christian and non-Christian have asked ourselves. If God is real why doesn’t He just come down and show the whole world? Then no one could doubt.

I honestly can’t think of much that God hasn’t already done to do that very thing. Continue Reading…

Can God really forgive me?

I believe that one of the hardest things about being a Christian is believing that God can forgive ALL of our sin. It’s hard to grasp that concept that God forgives and forgets (Jeremiah 31:34), but can he really do that?

Jesus said that he did not come here for the righteous. He did not come here to pave the way for the Rabbi’s and the Pharisees, the people that felt they most closely were following God’s law. He did not come here for the good people. He came for the sinners, the destitute, poor, the prostitutes, the thieves. He came to call the lame to walk, for the sinner to proclaim the words of God (Matthew 9:11-13). Continue Reading…

If someone never knew who Jesus was, do they go to hell?

I’ve been putting this question off because I needed some time to meditate on what I wanted to write. Matthew 11 includes a possible answer to a question that many people Christian and non-Christians raise. The only problem is that its not specific and has to be tied together with other ideas present in the new testament.

I warn you, this is some intensely deep theology I am about to dive into and one theory that makes my brain hurt some times and is not a simple one to explain. Continue Reading…

What is the Trinity?

The single most amazing thing about God is…. Him being God. Him being God means that he is far beyond our grasp intellectually. We could not possibly fathom all that is God. I think Paul says it best, “For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom…” 1 Corinthians 1:25. In other words, the least intelligent thing God has ever done is immensely greater than the smartest thing that man has ever done. Is it possible that even in our wisest moments to grasp the wholeness of God? Continue Reading…

Was Jesus really God?

The short answer is “yes”. He indeed was the Son of God and the Son of Man and God himself. He was not half man, half God. He was fully God and fully man. From a logical perspective on trying to explain how that is possible, what is infinity divided by 2? Well, it’s infinity.

Some might claim that Jesus never called himself God, however, he did in fact call himself God on more than one occasion. Continue Reading…
